Presentation: Little Elm Police Department Explorers to make presentation to Chief Rhodes: The Little Elm Police Explorer Post #1900 headed by Officer Sean Kinney recently competed in the 2014 Texas Law Enforcement Explorer Advisors Association (TLEEAA) State Competition. The event was held at the UT-Arlington Campus. Each team was comprised of 4 explorers who competed in 8 events. Events ranged from Domestic Disturbance, Felony and Misdemeanor Traffic Stops, Gang Activity, Bomb Scene Search, DWI, Hostage Negotiation and other situations officers routinely encounter in a normal shift. Four Little Elm explorers from Post #1900 competed against posts representing 36 agencies and composed of 93 different teams throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Proudly our post brought back 2 trophies in the following events: 1st Place Traffic Stops-Felony and 2nd Place Robbery in Progress. Congratulations to all the explorers and Advisors who participated in this event. The Little Elm Explorer team consisted of Explorer Sergeant Josh Alvarez, Explorer Corporal Kyle Meyer, Explorer Dylan McFarland, and Explorer Jacob Prahl.
